About the Miniature Bernedoodle
Breed History
The Miniature Bernedoodle is a mix between the Poodle and the Bernese Mountain Dog. With two well-liked parents, it is of no surprise that this breed has grown to be as popular as it is today. This breed’s mother, The Bernese Mountain Dog originated in the Swiss mountains and had been used throughout history for a variety of jobs. Their main jobs were draft work to herd cattle, pull carts, guard farms from predators, and as basic family companions. This breed’s father, the Poodle, is a very smart and independent dog who trains easily and has a very warm demeanor. The Poodle was originally bred in Germany and was used as a working dog that helped hunters retrieve waterfowl.
