What are Pomskies?

At PetCenter, we totally know that there are tons of designer dogs and sometimes it can be hard to keep up with them all. Our Pomsky puppies for sale fall into that somewhat unknown category. Pomskies are a peculiar mix between the medium-sized Siberian Husky and the pint-sized Pomeranian. Whoa…we know. We thought the same thing too but they are a special new breed of dogs and we can’t get enough of them since they originated sometime in 2011.

Are they associated with the American Kennel Club?

Pomsky puppies are not recognized by American Kennel Club, because they are hybrid/crossbreeds. There are, however, organizations dedicated to their specific registration, like the International Pomsky Association. To obtain any type of pedigree for Pomsky puppies for sale, breeders must provide information about their lineage, to ensure that their puppies are breed standard and healthy.

What are their physical stats and lifespan expectations?

Pomskies have a relatively high life expectancy of 13 to 15 years! Pomsky puppies start out small like any other newborn dog, but as full-grown dogs, they can weigh between 20 and 30 pounds.

What are their character traits?

Pomsky puppies for sale are an extremely intelligent breed of dogs. High intelligence equals high trainability which equals music to Pomsky pet owners’ ears! Use treats and praise to reward them. It’ll go a long way and make for quick, fun, and easy training sessions. As with any dog, we always suggest early training and socialization.
